1. Could you tell us your story on dropping down?

I began to see I could get out lefties easier in 1995.

 

2. What are some of the advantages you had from your arm angle?

Vs. left-handers it was more difficult for them to face me. 

 

3. If you didn't drop down, do you think you would have had the same success?

No

 

4. What would you tell someone debating on changing their arm angle?

I think it's better for the lefty vs. lefty matchup.

 

5. Are there any mechanical tips that you'd give to someone throwing sidearm/submarine?

Make sure shoulder doesn't open up very fast and keep your head down.

 

6. What pitches did you throw?

Fastball and slider

 

7. How did you pitch to lefties/righties?

Vs right-handed hitters for a left-hander I think it takes longer to improve your control which they are difficult to be succesful against. 

 

8. Lastly what was your favorite part about pitching from down there?

The slider
