 1. Could you tell us your story on dropping down?

I started pitching from a lower slot in high school. I felt more comfortable and found that it improved my fastball movement and accuracy.

 2. What are some of the advantages you have from your arm angle?

I think it makes me unique and gives hitters a different look their not used to. It also allows me to manipulate my breaking ball with different shape depending on the hitter and count.

 3. If you didn't drop down, do you think you would have had the same success?

I’m not certain but I definitely think the lower slot has helped my success as a pitcher.

 4. What would you tell someone debating on changing their arm angle?

I would just tell them to go with whatever is comfortable. Everyone is different so find what works for you!

 5. Are there any mechanical tips that you'd give to someone throwing sidearm/submarine?

Stay closed!

6. What pitches do you throw?

2 seam fastball 89-97
Slurve: 77-83
Change up: 78-82

  7. How do you pitch to lefties/righties?

Up and in, down and away. Back door and back foot.

 8. What is your favorite part about pitching from down there?

My favorite part of throwing for a lower slot would just have to be that it makes me a little different and is something hitters don’t see everyday so it gives me an advantage.
