1. Could you tell us your story on dropping down?
I hurt my arm when I was young pitching so I started playing first base. As I grew up and it healed and got stronger my angle was already lower from playing the infield. So I just took it to the mound and started slinging it.
2. What are some of the advantages you had from your arm angle?
Lefties don't see your stuff as early. They get fooled by spin. Righties that try to pull will roll over your sink. When they seeing it you have ability to create angle and go in on their hands and tie them up.
3. If you didn't drop down, do you think you would have had the same success?
I hadn't pitched any other way
4. What would you tell someone debating on changing their arm angle?
If you're changing because what you're doing isn't effective. Do it.
5. Are there any mechanical tips that you'd give to someone throwing sidearm/submarine?
Keep your hand behind the ball still. Stay closed all the things you would do anyway just hide the ball longer.
6. What pitches do you throw?
Fastball slider change
7. How do you pitch to lefties/righties?
N/A
8. Lastly what is your favorite part about pitching from down there?
My favourite part was when I could cut the ball into righties and ride it in on their hands
