1. Could you tell us your story on dropping down?
I have pitched sidearm since my wiffleball days. From season to season in proball ive evolved to more of a lower angle though. I dont know why other than just a muscle memory thing from spring to spring.
2. What are some of the advantages you had from your arm angle?
Arm angle to me is just personal comfort.
3. If you didn't drop down, do you think you would have had the same success?
I have had my success when I've been aggressive and attacked.
4. What would you tell someone debating on changing their arm angle?
Along the way i have learned that being consistent comes from focus, location, movement and confidence.
5. Are there any mechanical tips that you'd give to someone throwing sidearm/submarine?
My tip would be to release every pitch out in front for better deception.
6. What pitches did you throw?
I throw a fastball, a two seamer, and a slider.
7. How did you pitch to lefties/righties?
I have had good and bad #s vs lefties and righties and thats why i feel the cause is focus and confidence. The positive effects i believe stem from that.
8. Lastly what was your favorite part about pitching from down there?
I guess i liked throwing from that angle because its just natural.
